I am an American citizen born and raised in New York City within the most diverse area in the United States. For the past six years I have been living, studying and working in Berlin as an educator, doctoral student, program manager and artist. I speak native English and have many years of teaching experience as well as experience in student advisement and assessment. I possess a work permit for Germany and am legally allowed to obtain a teaching position. Academic training including over ten years as both teacher and lecturer at the university and K-12 education level and community service arena has prepared me to be an effective teacher, advisor and program manager. I have ample experience in teaching as well the ability and experience to apply appropriate and current assessment methodologies. I am highly skilled at designing curriculum, developing educational objectives and preparing teaching material. The following are highlights of my skills and accomplishments: • Creation of student-centered curriculum to encourage learning, to reach benchmarks and objectives. • Working one on one with students to help increase creative thinking skills as well as to encourage openness to learning and comprehension. • Possess an ability to communicate complex information in an understandable way in which students can easily comprehend. • Prior experience of adopting distinctive teaching methodologies, documenting lessons, organizing healthy group discussions, and mentoring troubled students. • Previously employed as a freelance integrative native English teacher at the Global Village School, Berlin.
