I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen's University (Kingston, Canada) in Political Science and International Development. My Masters of Arts degree is from the University of Toronto (Canada) and is in Geography and Urban Planning. My PhD, also from the University of Toronto is in History (focused on European History in the 20th century). I also have an International Studies certificate from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Experience

I have been a university-level educator for 8 years at the University of Toronto in Canada. During this time, I also worked as a Learning Strategist for the Accessibility Services office on campus. In most cases, I met one-on-one with undergraduate and graduate students with a wide variety of learning disabilities and mental health concerns. I received extensive training as a Learning Strategist from my university. I have also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) both at the university level and in English language schools in Canada and abroad. I believe that education should be exciting and fun

Hobbies

I love to travel - it's the best form of education, after all! In my spare time, I write for travel magazines, enjoy visiting museums, and cooking or trying out new foods from every corner of the world. I also play beach volleyball, rock climb, and do pilates. But, on days off, you can find me in a cozy cafe with with a good book and a coffee in hand.
